There will be redness and swelling that resembles a sunburn at the treated areas that may take up to 2-5 days to resolve. There is usually minimal bleeding and low risk of bruising. Sunblock and sun avoidance is essential for at least 1 week after treatment to avoid complications. A recovery cream will be provided for use for several days after treatment to speed up recovery and prevent infection.
Results may vary, but you should feel and see some changes 3-4 weeks after the procedure. As your skin remodels and generates more collagen, gradual improvement occurs over the next 6 months.
Depending on the area treated, it can take about 60 minutes – 90 minutes per session.
You will feel some pressure, heat and prickling sensation and it is usually bearable with topical anesthetic cream and pain medication taken before the treatment.
